About My Book
Oren Cohen is not just a photographer.
He is a storyteller, witness and friend to the men and women serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
For five years, he followed them in their training, missions and daily lives, capturing their courage, dedication and diversity in stunning images.
The IDF in Focus is a photo book that showcases Cohen’s best work, selected from thousands of photographs he took between 2018 and 2023. It is a tribute to the IDF, one of the most advanced and respected armies in the world, and to the people who make it what it is.
The book is divided into four sections, each reflecting a different aspect of the IDF:

The Spirit: This section celebrates the IDF’s spirit, from camaraderie to patriotism, revealing their passion and pride.
